My session just ended yesterday and I just want you guys to know that at the dance you will see somepretty, um, sexual things...and what I mean iswell actually sex....but other than that enjoy yourself unless you're one of those moral type people who are scared by that sort of thing. Overall the dance was AWESOME.

My candle burns at both ends
It will not last the night
But ah, my foes and oh, my friends
It gives a lovely light

O Blush not so! O blush not so!
Or I shall think you knowing;
And if you smile the blushing while,
Then maidenheads are going.

And a blush for having done it;
There's a blush for thought, and a blush for nought,
And a blush for just begun it.-John Keats

it will be the best time of your life!!
just be yourself, when i left i gained a new perspective to life and also some new besties
oh and the dinner dance, have fun and go wild, you don't really know anyone and noone knows you so...
also, if you want to stay in contact with each other after: get every possible contact info you can get myspace, facebook, phone#'s, address

BTW: i also went to the April 7-12th session and Eriecola19 is one of those besties, so is Porsha_Padfoot

!! I'm the type of girl who will burst out laughing, in dead silence, because of something that happened yesterday !!

If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me.

They try Emily, they try...but after a while you just can't do anything anymore - and they let it slide. I know that most of our FAs danced with us - they actually had a dance off between the FA teams - very, very, very entertaining...probably my favourite part of the dinner dance.

See you think that until random guys you don't even know start grinding on you (and some of them are, let's just say , um, you know...hard...) but I recommend either a swift kick to the groin, or dance away from them into the crowd. I did the latter

Hahaha. you're right, that definitely can be the downside of the whole "people you dont know" thing. I just go with the..."it's really hot in here, i think i need a break outside"

Yeah, I read it as a summer reading assignment - good choice on the whole. I didn't run into any guys that were sporting tents but then again, I'm not much of a dancer...NYLC has its awkward moments, but it's so much fun that I'd never turn down a chance to go again!

You'll have at least an hour, but I think it is more than that. I think it we had like 2 hours of free time before the dance. It's the longest free period you'll have at NYLC

Our bus was late back to the hotel so we had only really an hour to get ready. And its not mandatory btw, for those who aren't really into dancing. My friend Louisa opted out and stayed in her hotel room.

oh yeah the dance was insane. mily's right, the FAs were dancing as much as the rest of us. there were definitely surprising things, like not expecting someone to be as crazy as they apparently are. one word of advice: dont do or not do something you will regret. if you sit on the side lines, you will regret it. if you get waaaay too crazy, you might regret it (that's based on you). i danced for hours and had the time of my life, but of course i look back on it and think oh i should have done that or i should have spent more time with him or something like that. so really just go, have fun, and make memories. and try not to gawk too much at the people who are going crazy that you didnt expect. remember, you've only known these people for about a week, and this is your night to learn a WHOLE lot more.

have funSmile
