Okay, I was reading through the sample schedule online and wondered what the farewell dinner dance was. I remember looking out of my window during JrNYLC and seeing a bunch of girls and guys all dressed up heading for a bus. Were they going to the dinner dance? It looks so much fun if it was. I rarely ever get to dress up and i always love too (although trying to get to the mirror when i have three girl room mates might be a little difficult... lol)

I break out into song in the middle of the hallway.
I laugh at the most random points in movies.
I dance in my room with the radio turned up so loud i can't hear myself think.
I'm Awesome.

The farewell dinner dance is just that, a dinner and a dance. Most people wear homecoming-esque dresses. And yes, it is a blast. Big Grin

I don't know if JrNYLC students have a dance, but if they did, you would be able to find out more on the JrNYLC forum.

I was wondering if you had to dress in...well dresses, even if you aren't going to dance. Would regular professional attire work?

Blaze: Almost everyone at my conference danced.

cp13: Professional attire is fine. Its most important to feel comfortable. Most people do wear something that you would see at a homecoming dance. I didn't really see anyone in professional attire when I was there. I would also suggest wearing something that you could dance in because you may change your mind about forgoing it. Smile

I got a dress just for the dance. I love dances, though I usually hang out with people who don't like to dance... oddly enough

That's what I did. At the dance on Sunday, I just chilled with one of my friends. I'm not much of a dance person, so that's why I didn't really join in.

it is ok to wear professional to the dance, however no one does. most people wear short-er lingth dance dresses although i wore a full linghth. if you want to take off your shoes definately wear floor lingth on account of you're not suppost to take off your shoes Smile
most everyone danced. oh, and it's less regulated than most school dances. grinding is pretty much the norm. and they didn't yell at anyone unless they started making out on the dance floor (which happened a lot)

What's the music like? Do they play all different genres or just one or two types?
