I don't think girls at my conference wore any perfume. Don't worry about it. If you can't stand the smell then just civily and calmly tell them to stop. They can't refuse you.

For packing, put all of your outfits together and folded instead of shirts folded in one area, skirts folded in another area, etc. It will be easier to get dressed in the morning.

YEAH TOTALLY AND PICK OUT UR OUTFITS BEFORE U PACK THEM / BEFORE U GET THERE SO THAT WAY U KNOW WHAT UR WEARING AND U HAVE EVERYTHING U NEED!!

On the hangers, pair everything together and put then on the same hanger that way you can just grab it, change and go! Oh, and don't bring to many shoes. I did and I barely used them all. Make sure to also identify your suitcase really well. At the airport I almost lost mine. Get like a bright suitcase with a bright pattern or put on lots of ID tags.

I packed way too many shoes! I brought 4 pairs and only wore 2 pairs!!

I brought two pairs of shoes, and was fine. I wore Crocs at night, and my Sperry's for the rest of the time.

Almost all girls wore ballet flats and almost all were black. It's the easiest pair of shoes. Just make sure they're comfy and you broke them in already. I wore Juicy Couture flip flops at night. You can change into casual after LFG and on your way to dinner and wear casual at night during LFG but I stayed in Relaxed professional but changed my shoes.

I wore gray Payless flats in the morning, but just changed into flip-flops in the evening.

BRING BUG SPRAY!!! I thought i wouldnt need it and the gnats were really bad at harpers ferry. also, i just brought a pillow case and put clothes in it for the sleepover.

Ooh! Bring like soled house slippers to wear at the sleepover. You can't walk around barefoot and you'll be in your pj's so you DEF don't want to walk in sneakers. SO BRING SLIPPERS!

Is the sunscreen really needed? Do we have to wear skirts? When they say medium length, do they mean like around your knees?

Sunscreen is recommended if your skin is fair. You don't have to wear skirts but they are considered relaxed professional if you do choose to wear them. You can wear dress slacks if you like. Medium length would be around your knees... maybe an inch and a half above the knee would be okay too. Just try on your skirts to see how they fit. You don't want them to be revealing or look bad.

If you go in the summer or if you want to stay cool, I would wear a skirt.

Yes, the people who wore slacks were very hot during the day. I wore a skirt, and I was cool the whole day. Also, during casual on Day Three, I would recommend not wearing jeans. Jean shorts are a great alternative in the summer. And I wore no sunscreen, and I was fine. But like Julianna Marie said, if you have fair skin, you may want to pack some.

Sunscreen is optional, in Harper's Ferry you'll be shaded by trees but bring sunglasses. People who wore pants were like dying from heat, medium means up to the knees or a little bit above. I wore skirts a little bit above the knee but not to short. They're open with your clothing and shoes. Bermuda's are really good to wear, they're not to short and not to long. As Kate said, DON'T WEAR JEANS! It's too hot, trust me.
