Airlines are usually really good about luggage, and a FA (the person who will get you when you get to the airport) will wait with you until you find your bags. If your bag does happen to get lost the FA will help you contact the airline and get it all settled out. I don't remember this happening to anybody that I knew. It was really easy to find all of our bags. You will want to find your bag quickly though so I recommend putting colorful ribbons and/or tags on it. Anything that will make it easy for you to recognize at baggage claim. But all in all don't worry too much. Lost luggage doesn't happen to often. Smile

Yeah, you can wear UGGS. They really don't care what shoes your wearing as long as they're fancyish. My roomie got away with wearing CROCS and SNEAKERS! But preferably it would be better to wear something more fancy

They are more of a casual.Just because you can get away with something doesn't necessarily make it okay to do.Plus they're not the most comfortable shoes.Your uggs should be kept for casual or LFG meetings.

Hello again Smile

I am wondering how the night we go to the Maryland Science Center goes? On that day do we wear relaxed professional and then change to casual before we leave? Or do I have this completly wrong? Also, do we sleep by all of our bags or do we keep the ones we don't need on the bus? Smile

Hi Smile

To answer your question, the day of the science center you stay at the 4H all day and wear your relaxed professional. I was not given the option to change before we left but that may have changed.
As for the bags, the 4H center works on taking care of them all day. Sometime during that day you will bring your bag down to where they tell you and it will be marked with some sort of tag depending on whether your parents are picking you up at the science center, the 4H, or if you are going to the airport alone to fly home. Once the bags are sorted they take care of loading them on appropriate busses from there. The only bag you will have with you at the science center is the small bag that you bring your pj's, toothbrush, ect... in. Those bags will be loaded on a bus before you leave. When you get to the Science Center after Hard Rock the unload all of the bags on the lawn and you go and find yours.

Hope that helped Smile

Thank you that really did help Smile

For luggage I think I'm going to check a suit case and then have carry on a very small suit case or bag for the sleepover and then have a tote to carry around DC...What do you think of this? Smile

That is actually perfect. That seems to be what most people do.Just make sure youe suit case is distingishable,if it isnt try adding a bright luggage tage or some colorful ribbon.

When I went I took my laptop.I had a 6 hour planeride so it was really handy there and back.I stayed at UMUC and we didnt have wifi but my roommates and I used my laptop all the time. You can check to see if the 4-h center has wifi if you go onto their website. But even if they dont i recromend bringing it anyways.
Any other questions feel free to ask. Were here to help!

The Science Center sleepover is very fun. At the actual center we all changed into our PJs. You keep your luggage in the bus and take a carry-on bag with you to the sleepover. Everyone leaves all their stuff in a specified room, so its not really with you.

Hope you have a blast! Big Grin

Yes the sleepover is very fun!! On that day you do have to wear realaxed professional but then when you get there(like she said) everyone(well, only the girls....) changed into their pjs. It was really fun!! we slept by the big window..... also like she said you leave your luggage on a labeled bus like girls a-m and m-z and stuff like that. I brought a duffel bag to put my sleepingbag and pillow and clothes for the next day and that worked out great. Also you will love the hard rock cafe!!!!! Have fun!!!

yes there is. only a couple though. me and my roommates had to take turns charging our phones. the tv is plugged into one and the alarm clock is plugged into another. so there's like only three. one in the bathroom and two in the "living room" (if that's what you want to call it)

Yes,like Jordon said there are plugs in the room but not many. We never set our alarm clock so we unplugged tht and we also unplugged the tv at nite so we could charge more things!!!! Try 2 charge watever you r gonna need 4 the day at nite. evn if you dont think u r gonna need it!!!!!! i brought my ipod on the bus every day and evn if i didnt use it my friend mcflurry(well uh, mariah!) used it everyday. haha sometimes 2 much! haha lol.

Also, the first full day i wore flats but i got 2 many blisters so i asked my fa(erin) if we could wear uggs and she said yes!!! i was soooooo happy!!!!!!
