Wow, I don't even remember how many kids there were at mine. I remember there were quite a few because schools were either on Easter break or just about to go on Easter break. So I think there were maybe 300 - 450? It really does depend on the week.

Do the attendees usually take cash or is it better to send prepaid credit cards or some such thing? And how much money is recommended to have?
Well, I recommend about $200. Just to be safe. They take $20 from you at the beggining and give it to you when you leave to make sure you'll have enough money for lunch. No big deal. Then if you've never been to DC before, you will definitely want to buy a few souveniers! It really depends on what you're planning to buy. Also, you'll want to buy a lot of stuff at the Hard Rock Cafe and the Science Center, but it's not necessary. I brought $200 but I barely spent half of it because I'd been to DC and those places many times before.
I reccommend cash because it's gauranteed to be taken everywhere. When I went, a few people had trouble with their prepaid cards.
