I just back last night, so I still all these tips stuck in my head:
Deffenetly bring an alarm clock, me and my roomates didn't and we woke up 10 minutes after breakfast started .
Some people say to bring tennis shoes, but when I went I didn't and only got one blister, and that was only because they didn't fit right. Also don't make fun of people who do cause it will come back to get you.
I would say get contact information on the second day, so you can hang out and stuff and not sound like a stalker
Really get into the discussions you and your lgf (leadership focus group) or at Harpers Farry so then you might change someone elses veiw.
Make sure you don't loose anything, espeically your camra or phone because I lost my glasses like 2 times the last day. CHECK THE LOST AND FOUND!!!SERIOUSLY!!!

Oh, and make sure you get your roommates' cell numbers (if they have a phone.) That way if you lock your key in your room then someone else can open it for you.

-DEFINANTLY get your friends info! i still talk to some of my friends that i made and i am sooo glad. -try to get to bed early every night, but sometimes its hard! so if you dont get to bed until pretty late one night, sleep on the bus -although it is hard, try not to be too homesick, or only think about your family. the week goes by SOOOO quickly and by the last day you will probably be crying because you have to leave. -GOOD SHOES!!! are an abs. must. -if your going in winter bring with any kind of coats scarfs hats and gloves! i went in march and it was FREEZING. -make sure that you bring plenty of casual clothes along with your fancy more dressy clothes. -cameras are great to have too! -oh and snacks!!!!!! bring all of your favorite snacks before hand, or buy some while your out there! -open up to your room mates and the ppl in your LFG's! they become your family! -this is just my opinion, but i wouldnt bring and iPod or MP3 unless your going to keep it with you. when i went it was rumored that the maids were stealing them, although im not too sure if it was true. -set up a shower schedule!!! you'll be glad you did!
have fun!!! and if you have any other questions just IM me or private message me. (my screen name should be in my info)
-I think all of us took 2 showers there b/c we took them randomly -The alarm in 5212 @ the 4-H dosesn't work I Know -Go to sleep by 12:30 latest or u will be SO tired -Dont be shy to say what u believe on the lfg subjects -Be yourself -Dont get upset about leaving your cute guy even if hes really hot (like Hunter) thats not what u came for -Dont be obsessed (like me) your friends will be bothered(i know) Logie Bear

Originally posted by SamanthaM: 1. Make a shower schedule with your roomates. Have some of them take a shower in the morning and some of them take a shower at night. If you take a shower around the same time it will be very rushed. 2. Bring appropriate clothes for the weather. In the summer it gets hot, in the fall it gets a little cold. 3. Get email addresses and phone numbers! 4. Bring some money or change for vending machines. 5. Relax and don't be too nervous. If you spend too much time being nervous, you will barely have any time to have fun!

I would say, HAVE FUN!!! If you are comfortable with it go for the parts, don't worry about who's cool or dorky or what to wear like you probably do at school, go all out! It is the most amazing experience ever!
