Sorry if there's already a topic for this.
Okay, so I've been to Boston already. I've seen the Plymouth Rock and Plymouth Plantation and all that stuff. I can drive up there pretty much whenever (I'm from Jersey, so its not that long of a drive). To the alumni: Did you guys have fun? Is it worth it? If you feel that you've experienced historic Boston already, I would recommend you skip this program and go to a different CYLC program, like the PYIC or GYLC. When I went, I thought it was going to be like a reunion, but only one person decided to go that went to the same JrNYLC session as me. I think you should hold off and attend a different conference.

I think it was REALLY fun, and better than Jr. NYLC.The curriculum was a lot more interesting. I would try to go w friends, and so i met up with my friend there, and it was SO worth it

I SAY, you go to as many as possible.
you make more friends that will genuinely last forever. i mean, i was put in the jr. nylc/ jr. nylc alumni boston program by accident (i was suppose to be in nylc) so i was with a bunch of kids that were the same age as my little sister. i became everyone's big sister. and i STILL considered it fun. i say go to as many as you can, it's all a chance of a lifetime. go and have no inhibitions, just have fun, they aren't grading you, it's more for fun and mind opening than anything else. if you feel there is nothing more you would learn on the trip ten on your vacations alone. i think the trip gave more of an inside more detail more help of understanding. it was an amzing trip i think if you can, you should do it!! |
